Product Update: Scheduling Restarts - Capsim Blog

Hello Capsim users!

We have made updates improving scheduled restarts in a handful of our products (Capstone, Foundation, GlobalDNA, CapsimCore, CapsimOps, Capstone 2.0, and CapsimGlobal).

1. Instructors can now schedule their entire course, including restarts, in a straightforward process – this update applies to Capstone, Foundation, and GlobalDNA.

2. Restarts can now be scheduled at any hour of the day – this update has been made to Capstone, Foundation, GlobalDNA, CapsimCore, CapsimOps, Capstone 2.0, and CapsimGlobal.

Why did we make this change?

In the past, we heard from many instructors who experienced challenges when scheduling restarts. We learned that users found the schedule rounds page to be unclear, causing confusion and administrative uncertainty. So, we updated the page to make the course set-up process more intuitive and user-friendly.

Additionally, instructors that have experience scheduling will notice improved flexibility in the timing of restarts. Previously the schedule restart function was limited to four time-options daily. We believe that it is essential for you to build a schedule that fits the needs and timing of your course, so we developed the ability to schedule restarts at any hour of the day.
